UFC Replica Belt Review – 2016 Edition

I recently picked up the new version of the UFC replica belt. This is the 2016 version of the belt.

This updated (2016) version of the title has next generation style 3D plates that range in thickness from 5-7mm with stacked plates as part of the design, reaching a total thickness of 12mm. This makes the new UFC Championship adult size replica belt the thickest UFC replica ever. The simulated leather strap measures 49.75 inches long, and can fit up to a 46 inch waist. The centre logo plate measures 11 inches high, and the belt weighs in at 7.8 pounds.

McGregor’s New Entrance Music – Foggy Dew / I Get Money Remix

Conor McGregor is known making bold statements, and he set the tone yet again at UFC 205 this past weekend in Madison Square Garden with a new entrance song.

“The Notorious One” stuck with his traditional prelude of “The Foggy Dew” by Sinéad O’Connor & The Chieftains, and aptly transitioned into “I Get Money” by 50 Cent.

You can listen to the entire song above.

UFC 189 – Press Conference Dublin

The UFC ended their promotional World Tour for UFC 189 today in Dublin.

It was a wild one – the vocal Dublin crowd barely let José Aldo utter a word while Conor McGregor was obviously given a heroes welcome.

Skip to the 9 minute mark to see “The Notorious” grab the Featherweight strap right from under Aldo’s nose!

At 17m30s, young Irish upstart Nate Kelly gets on the mic to announce his future UFC intentions and gets a few digs in at “Junior” along the way.

Well worth a watch folks!

[VIDEO] Finn Balor v Cesaro at NXT Cleveland

Triple H has taken NXT out on the road recently, and while the matches aren’t being taped thankfully some fans are putting some of them on YouTube.

One such match was everyone’s favourite Bray native Fergal “Finn Balor” Devitt as he took on Cesaro at NXT Cleveland.

It’s not the whole match, just the entrances and the last four minutes, but it’s still interesting to see Devitt Balor take on WWE main roster opposition. It can’t be too long surely before Devitt moves up to the big show, he’s crazy over and one of the most exciting wrestlers in the company.

Also interesting to note that at last night’s show in Columbus, Ohio, Balor and Kevin Owens wrestled with Owens getting the win. Owens and Balor will compete for the NXT Championship on the March 25th episode of NXT. This was how WrestlingInc.com described last night’s match.

Rousey Finishes Zingano in 12.83 Seconds [VIDEO]

UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey needed only 12.83 seconds to submit “Alpha” Cat Zingano at UFC 184 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Rousey (now 11-0) picked up yet another victory via modified arm-bar/arm-lock, bringing her submission finish total to 9. It .was Zingano’s first ever professional defeat

The result of this fight is sure to set up a long-awaited superfight between “Rowdy” and Invicta Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg. Cyborg will have a difficult time cutting weight to 135 lbs as Ronda has clearly stated in the past that she is unwilling to move up in weight to make the fight happen.

Joe Rogan spoke to Ronda and Cat in the Octagon after the fight.

Ladder Match Added to Wrestlemania

WWE confirmed earlier today that Bad News Barrett would defend his Intercontinental title in a ladder match at the Showcase of the Immortals.

So far there have been no participants announced to take part other than the champ himself.

It’s expected that this will be a multi-man ladder match featuring Dean Ambrose, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler and perhaps even Daniel Bryan.

So far, the card is looking like this:

Brock Lesnar (c) -V- Roman Reigns – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Rusev (c) V Cena – US Championship

Triple H V Sting

Bray Wyatt V Undertaker

Randy Orton V Seth Rollins

Bad News Barrett V ????? – Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship
